„Feucht, fröhlich mit April-Charme“, so kann man den Auftakt der „Fünften Bruckmühler Jahreszeit“ skizzieren. Der ein oder andere Regenschauer sorgte für die nicht unbedingt erwünschte Feuchtigkeit von Oben. Temperaturen zwischen 18 und 21 Graden ließ dazu eher April-Gefühle aufkommen. Davon zeigte sich jedoch das Publikum auf der Festmeile und unter dem Festzeltdach gänzlich unbeeindruckt. Es feierte ungezwungen und fröhlich die ersten drei Wies`n-Tage. Die Wies`n-Bedienungen konnten sich und mangelnde Arbeit nicht im Geringsten beklagen.

SVB-Chef Klaus Christoph und Wiesnbürgermeister Alex Zehetmaier konnten mit ihrem gut aufgestellten Team bereits an den ersten drei Festtagen eine Vielzahl von Gästen aus der gesamten oberbayerischen Region begrüßen. Für „internationales Flair“ sorgte eine große Abordnung der österreichischen Partnerstadt Bruck an der Leitha. „Wenn`s schon auf der großen Politikbühne in Sachen Maut, Grenzen und Straßennutzung zwischen Österreich und Bayern zwickt, müssen wir eben einen harmonischen Gegenpol setzen“, witzelte Bruckmühls Rathauschef beim Empfang der „Austria-Delegation“.

Abwechslungsreif war auch die Stimmung auf dem Volksfestareal, von gemütlich, locker bis lustig, ausgelassen, fetzig. Sowohl im Festzelt als auch auf der „Vergnügungsmeile“ mit den vielen Fahrgeschäften und Ständen ging es im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes „rund“. Unter dem Festzeltdach begeisterte an den ersten beiden Tagen die „Dreder Musi“ unter der Leitung von Roland Merk mit ihrem facettenreichen und vor allem professionellen Musikrepertoire.

Am Sonntag ließen dass die Musiker von der „Mangfalltaler Musi“ und die „Musikkapelle Vagen“, mit Jürgen Schubert am Dirigentenstab, ihr musikalischen Können aufblitzen. Bei den Wagemutigen sorgten der „Tropical Trip“ und der „Free Style“ für die ersten prickelnde Drehmomente.

Das erste sportliche Highlight setzen am ersten Wochenende bereits ab den frühen  Morgenstunden die SVB-Volleyballer mit ihrem 34. Volleyball-Turnier für Mixed-Mannschaften, an dem sich Teams aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet und dem benachbarten Österreich teilnahmen (Bericht hierüber folgt).

Auf gute Resonanz stießen auch wiederum der musikalische Frühschoppen mit verbilligten Mittagstisch-Preisen und der „Kaffeeklatsch“ der SVB-Leichtathleten.
